Cantique des oiseaux silk scarf
“Cantique des oiseaux” (The Conference of the birds) was printed as a very limited edition from one of my original paintings. It is the result of my work as a painter/artist and my passion for silk scarves and was inspired by the Persian literature masterpiece of poet Farid od-dîn ‘Attâr, written around 1190.
It is fourteen machine rolled silk twill, finished by hand. It was made in France in Lyon, following the tradition of the “Canuts” (silk weavers, traditionally installed in Lyon since the XVIth century.)
