​Fables de La Fontaine et autres contes
​Exhibition at prieure de cayac-France October/november 2021

Literature and poetry have always been an inspiration. For the 400 birthday of French poet Jean de La Fontaine , I chose to illustrate a selection of his most meaningful fables.
Each painting is handwritten with the moral of the history.  A moral that is as significant now as it was in the XVIIth century. 
I chose raw linen as a background that contrasts with the brightness of acrylic paint, the precision of the ink and the light of gold leaves.
